Instructions on how to make your own plant-based milk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of nuts or seeds - I recommend almonds, hemp, buckwheat or oats

  • 3 cups of filtered water

Directions

  • Soak nuts for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible

  • Strain through a nut milk bag (or a fine strainer if you don't have one)

  • Pour into a jar and store in the fridge. It will stay fresh for up to 3 days

  • Add to smoothies, your morning granola and teas and coffees

Note:

  • Hemp milk doesn't require straining

  • Avoid making nut milk with macadamia or cashews as they can be too rich, and can flair up digestive symptoms
